Papua New Guinea guided tour

Boia Boia Waga is just ashort dinghy ride from East Cape, but it offers totally secluded deserted tropical island experience like no other.

Boia Boia Waga, Milne Bay, papua New Guinea. This island is small enough to walk around in about a 1 hour casual stroll, but large enough to spend a couple of days exploring and enjoying, which is exactly what we do. With special permission from the traditional land owners, we are permitted to camp here. We set tents just inside the thick tropical jungle line with a view across one of the worlds most beautiful coral encrusted lagoons. The entire island is completely surrounded by fine white sand forming one long beach broken only by old trees reclaimed by the sea.

Jungle vines wander from the forest canopy overhead forming cathedrals of sunlight that pierce to the forest floor. Here is where we spend the next 2 nights.

Activities here include snorkelling, fishing, beach combing, swimming and personal dreaming.

Our food is mostly freshly caught from the lagoon right on our doorstep, with the remainder sourced from the local gardens and markets around East Cape. We prepare all our meals over an open fire right on the beach and finish every meal with fresh coconut from the surrounding coconut palms.
